The right prayer at the right time.

Every so often just the right words assemble to form the perfect prayer for the moment. For me it was today in my inbox, at a moment when words did not come easily, a loved one assembled these:

Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon me, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.

And from that, I was able to think clearly again, clearing away the painful news from another loved one so far away. I stopped thinking about what ifs and if thens and thought about those assembled words, the perfect prayer for the moment. For that is what prayerglow is, the rekindling of the Spirit. Renewed we can focus on being a servant in His kingdom, not the servant of our fears.
